Climate Campaign Director, Greenpeace USA

Natalie Mebane is a sustainability and policy expert with extensive experience in grassroots organizing, fundraising, and campaigning. She was named one of The Hill’s Top Lobbyists in 2019, 2020, and 2021. In her role at Greenpeace USA, Natalie serves as the climate campaign director and sets the strategic direction for the organization’s work to end the era of fossil fuels and create a more equitable future.
Natalie has served on the Board of Directors of the Power Shift Network and Young Voices for the Planet. She currently serves on the Boards of the Partnership Project, the Student Conservation Association, and Care About Climate. Natalie has also worked with youth across the country to build a powerful and inclusive movement of activists leading the way to a just and sustainable future. Today, Natalie is the adult director of the policy and finance departments for the international youth climate organization Zero Hour.
Natalie has worked at some of the largest and most influential environmental organizations. Past roles include National Dirty Fuels Lobbyist at Sierra Club, Policy Director at 350.org, and Senior Director of Climate Solutions at the Wilderness Society.
Natalie has an M.S. in strategic leadership towards sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology and a B.S. in environmental science and policy from the University of Maryland College Park.
