Through a joint effort by the Innovation Hub and the Digital Climate Coalition, this analysis and playbook utilized third-party survey research data from Global Web Index to demonstrate how often different demographic groups are using 30 social media apps. It answered questions such as:
- Which social networks do Gen Z use most often?
- Where can I reach my target audience on social media?
- Who is using TikTok?
- Which platforms do environmental activists use the most?
- Is everyone really on Facebook?
In addition to user statistics, this body of work offers how-to’s on Snapchat and TikTok’s organic and paid media placements for marketers, provided by Spake Media and Hootsuite. The playbook also shows how chat apps can be used as powerful relational tools for advocacy campaigns.
